The property is located 13 km away from the Center of Luang Prabang and has been operated since 2007 on a local management. It was built into nature settings with a wide garden area. The Garden has tropical flowers, bushes and fruit trees, surrounded by a teak wood forest, rice fields and pineapple plantations. It is located in a pristine and beautiful valley with views into mountains. A view point offers visitors a view over Luang Prabang after a 10 min. walk.
The altitude of 550 m above sea level provides a slightly softer climate and cooler evenings in the hot season. It can be described as a small retreat area with fresher air and a more natural look than comparable properties around Luang Prabang. Luang Prabang lies about 250 meter lower on altitude.
The surrounding valley offers acces to walks and bike tours
and acces to hiking trails covering the famouns Kuang Si waterfall as well as the smaller and more private Tad Thong waterfall.
The Resort is built with a ecological manner using local products and materials from local providers using traditional Lao house construction techniques. The water supply works directly from a fresh water well ensuring the purity of tab water in the resort.
Rooms, Restaurant and Pool
The resort has 9 Rooms which consist of 4 Double Bungalows which have outdoor shower areas. Glass is used in the front of the Bungalows for a flow of soft say light giving the feeling of living much closer to nature. All Bungalows and sleeping rooms are equipped with the standard facilities of a hotel room.
All rooms have fan, but no Aircondition. The bathrooms are covered with tiles and are accessable through a separate door in the room. Each sleeping room in the 8 Bungalow rooms measure about 25sqm without the bathroom.
One family room was added to the resort which offers a triple bed sleeping area with similar facilities to the Bungalow style rooms.
All rooms are on a slight slope overlooking lush garden and green nature.
The swimming pool
is a major asset of the property offering outside swimming areas with professional pool tiles and modern cleaning and chloride filters keeping the water clean. The pool offers a small terrace with sitting area, with a few mattresses. The nicely designed overflow Pool is used as a gathering area and offers recreational aspects to the guests. The stairs leading into the pool are also suitable for visitors with children. The lower area is about 50cm deep, the other end leading into a 1,70m area.
The Restaurant
lies above the pool and offers inside and outside sitting areas. Some parts of the building were renovated recently, though some more renovation will be necessary. At the moment the restaurant can hold up to 40 people in the inside area, or can also be used as a meeting room for groups. The kitchen is connected to the Restaurant building and would need renovation or modernization if to run on a daily occupied basis. The equipment is sufficient to host a number of guests and prepares good Lao style food to the staying or visiting visitors.
